Proofreading and Editing Services

Services Offered
The following is a list of services that I offer. I currently proofread for a small, independent publisher, but I also freelance for other authors. I am open to taking on new clients, of course, and would be happy to help any author polish their book until it shines. Please feel free to email me at jazzybookreviews@gmail.com to inquire about a service. Thank you!

Proofread
A proofread means only your grammar and spelling will be fixed where needed. You will send your book to me as a docx file, and I will go through and use Track Changes in Word to show you where any mistakes in punctuation, spelling, or grammar were made and/or missed by an editor. I will also point out any other issues missed by an editor (like consistency) if need be.

Line/Copy Edit
A line/copy edit means you will receive the works. You will send your book to me as a docx file, and I will make note of any continuity errors, incomplete sentences/run-on sentences, grammar/punctuation, and anything else that may be problematic or confusing using comments/Track Changes in Word. Please be advised that this service will take a little more time than a proofread.

Critique
Are you looking for someone to critique your book? Someone who will read through every page and offer you an honest opinion of your work? I also offer this as a service. With a basic critique, you will send your book to me in one of the following formats: pdf or docx. Once I receive your book, I will read it through and send it back with an assessment of what I thought of plot, character development, world building, dialogue, etc. I will make no changes to your book. Just provide my sincere opinion of your story.
